Good

Very good for learning to read kanji and new vocabulary

Great app!

My favorite Japanese learning app. The integration with Kotoba makes making custom learning sets simple. Material is also organized based on the JLPT exam levels. The in app purchase of kanji draw is a must allowing you to practice writing kanji without destroying a major forest. Worth every penny.

Works great.

Dont have much to say. It has really help me remember a bunch if Kanji. I like the lay out of the app.

Full featured

Surprised at the amount of content. All JLPT organized. Fun quiz and interface. helpful hints that u can turn off. can set personal difficulty, theres user made set of kanji to study . For example Im practicing kanjis 1 to 3 strokes. And keeping difficulty at JLPT at level 5. Love the custkmizability. Kanji draw is amazing. Makes it si much easier to remember kanji. Non buggy. Cant believe how good this app is for 5 bucks its a bloody steal. Best app outthere. Havent tried multiplayer

On the way to greatness

This app has the ability to become THE JLPT study app. The drill and quiz sections are excellent especially when you start playing around with the settings. For example, I removed all translations since there will not be english on the exam but for starters its a great way to study. I am disappointed with the study section and am slowly giving up on it. Though the kanji list/cards are clear and clean, the list of 50 is just too little. There should be sections (time, people, places, etc.) and people can select which subject to study from the category. Also, there are some easy study methods they can incorporate like read, say, write, check which would make the section more interactive and useful. Personally, I prefer this on the iPad than iPhone but its easy to use on either device. However, in one month my app has been updated several times and I am constantly seeing improvement. Definitely a worthy investment and a must for JLPT test takers.

Perfection!

I love this app! Its perfect for me to study on the go. Im completely addicted to the quiz modes. I love how customizable everything is! Its fun and a great motivator watching my stat bars slowly turn green. This is a must if youre planning to take the JLPT!

This is now my go-to app for Kanji and Vocab study

I really like the interface on this app. It really challenges you with similar kanji and similar readings for them, for all of those words that are easily mixed up.

Very useful

Even just the different modes and srs style tracking make this app worth every penny

Good way to practice Kanji

This is a very cool app. I was able to find lists of Kanji by chapter for the textbook I was using to study. By having this tool I was able to spend my study time more effectively.

Super

Efficient, fun while serious!

Quite useful

I find the site great, though occasionally lagging. The app is good overall, but all the Facebook integration I find a little overboard

This app made me buy an iPad.

I love how there is always a new update not only to correct bugs but to improve the app. The only thing missing now is JLPT sample questions and a drill in which you could write or choose the ending of a verb or adjective. Too much good points to write them all here. Oh yes, please had simple words in the "missing kanji" part. For exemple, you drill for N3 but the words in that game are vocabulary words for N2 and N1. Thats kind of sad. In conclusion, this app made me buy an iPad. Keep up the good work in improving this app. Merci pour tout!

This is it

Ive used other study apps that amounted to flashcards with a cryptic color system, but this is the real deal. Study modes included, but if youre halfway there its even good for diving in and learning by drill. Timed quiz mode included too. MC test kanji by meaning, missing kanji in compounds, or correct readings. The only wrinkle Ive hit is on particles Ive known for years, sometimes the first given definition is baffling, or worse, linguistics jargon that makes no sense no matter how well you know the word. A minor speed bump though. tl;dr If youve studied Japanese but fallen out of practice and wish you had something to push on & continue with, this is it. Also, it works with the best dictionary app, "Imiwa?" (formerly "Kotoba!")

Great program

With some recent improvements (eg sentence examples) this program is even better. Great for reviewing Japanese vocab while riding the subway.

Great app with a few issues

Love it. However. Pass a quiz three times in an hour. Still doesnt show up in the achievement section. Not cool.

Great app for a great price

I am really enjoying this app. It allows you to practice multiple aspects of kanji usage, including identifying the character, readings, using it in various compounds, writing it (if you are willing to pay the extra $0.99 for kanjidraw). The link to imiwa (Japanese dictionary app) for each word is also very helpful. You can also change various settings to reflect your learning needs - dont want to see English translation? Want only the kanji and not the reading to show up? No problem. This is a LOT of value for a very reasonable price.

Great app for aspiring language learners!

This app is a really useful aid for improving your Japanese literacy. It isnt the best as far as speech goes, but nevertheless it has useful exercises for learning the kanji and honing your writing skills. New features appear fairly regularly too, so its utility is continually improving.

Fantastic

Love this app use it daily. Lots of ways to learn kanji and tailor it to your needs.

pretty good

I have tried many apps ,games or programs like that over the year. I like how this one looks and feel! One of the best feature is that it includes vocabulary and reading, sometimes I want to study more than words that has a kanji. It is without saying it could be improved upon addings features like the ability to search for a kanji or a word and making your own list in the app.

Best app to learn Japanese

Thanks to this app, I greatly improved my reading skills.
